I have been a personal trainer for almost 25 years, when I began my career my goal was to get the whole world fit! I know an ambitious goal to say the least, but as I workout at my local gym (anonomously) I find myself wanting to help the people who seem like they could use a little help. The gym I go to got rid of instructors a long time ago and new members get a 30 minute workout where they are placed on a few machines by trainers my son went to high school with last week, as their orientation.
It occurred to me that the technology now exists to solve the problem of what should I do for my workout? That is how Virtual Personal Training was conceived. The concept is to connect professional personal trainers with whomever wants it. The key is to keep the person and the trainer in the mix at all stages. Virtual Personal Training is more convenient and cost effective than one on one training, the idea is you tell us your goals, what equipment you have and how much time you want to spend. Your trainer then develops the most efficient and effective routine possible. The most important part is that your trainer will stay in touch with you on your journey through text, social media, email or the good old phone call. It used to be not everyone could afford to have a trainer but for around $1 a day, now you can.
