1. Your body gets used to whatever you do, this is called the training effect.
2. In order for activity to be considered a workout, it must be more than you are currently used to. Theoretically running a marathon at a 8 min mile pace daily would eventually stop being enough overload for your body and improvement would plateau.
If we take these two laws into consideration and apply them to our own workout, we must ask ourselves the question does it make sense to spend 45 minutes 5 days a week on the elliptical? The answer is how long have you been doing that, has the speed and resistance been constant and most importantly WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS!
